Abstract: Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre lactancia materna en profesionales del primer nivel de atención de salud en Piura 2020.
Metodología: estudio observacional, prospectivo, transversal, analítico, correlacional. El nivel de conocimientos se evaluó utilizando la encuesta basada en Los diez pasos para la Lactancia Materna, siguiendo los lineamientos establecidos por la OMS. Para el análisis de descriptivo se utilizarán frecuencias absolutas y relativas y para la encuesta medidas de tendencia central y de dispersión. Resultados: 83.30% fueron de sexo femenino, La edad promedio de los profesionales encuestados fue de 40 a más años, el 61.7% procedían del Establecimiento de Salud Consuelo de Velasco y el 38.3% fueron del Centro de Salud de Los Algarrobos. Se reportó que 43.3% profesionales tenían entre 1 a 9 años de egresados, mientras que 31.7% tenía entre 20 a más años de egresados. El 50% de los profesionales encuestados fueron enfermeras, 33.3% licenciadas en obstetricia y 16.7% médicos. En cuanto al nivel de conocimientos se encontró que 9.6% de los profesionales del EE.SS. Los Algarrobos obtuvo el nivel Alto de conocimiento, mientras que en el EE.SS Consuelo de Velasco, solo el 4.7%; el nivel medio fue el predominante en ambos establecimientos con 28.6% y 19% para el EE.SS. Consuelo de Velasco y el EE.SS Los Algarrobos respectivamente. El nivel Bajo fue similar en ambos establecimientos, reportándose, 19.1% en EE.SS. Consuelo de Velasco y 19% en EE.SS Los Algarrobos. En el análisis bivariado ajustado por el nivel de conocimiento y la profesión, no se encontró asociación entre el nivel de conocimiento y la profesión. Así mismo se muestra relación entre los años de experiencia con el nivel de conocimiento, en el nivel Alto se nota que a mayor tiempo de experiencia aumenta el conocimiento (p<0.01). De la misma manera se encontró que en el nivel Alto, a mayor tiempo de egresados aumenta el conocimiento. (p<0.01). Conclusión: el nivel de conocimiento de los profesionales de la salud sobre lactancia materna es predominantemente “regular”, lo que sigue representando una deficiencia en el personal de salud y la necesidad de implementar políticas de capacitación.

For the descriptive analysis, absolute and relative frequencies will be used and for the survey measures of central tendency and dispersion. Results: 83.30% were female, the average age of the professionals surveyed was 40 years or older, 61.7% came from the Consuelo de Velasco Health Establishment and 38.3% were from the Los Algarrobos Health Center. It was reported that 43.3% professionals had between 1 to 9 years of graduates, while 31.7% had between 20 and more years of graduates. 50% of the professionals surveyed were nurses, 33.3% licensed in obstetrics and 16.7% doctors. Regarding the level of knowledge, it was found that 9.6% of the professionals of the SSE. Los Algarrobos obtained the High level of knowledge, while in the US Consuelo de Velasco, only 4.7%; the average level was predominant in both establishments with 28.6% and 19% for the SSE.
