To determine if the level of knowledge of the caregiver about anemia, the level of education of the caregiver, the employment status of the caregiver and the interruption of iron supplements due to infections are factors associated with the correction of anemia in children 6 to 35 months of age treated at the Albrecht Hospital in Trujillo. Material and methods: An observational, analytical, retrospective case-control study was carried out that evaluated 234 children from 6 to 35 months of age who met the established selection criteria, divided into two groups: with and without correction of anemia. Results: in children with anemia correction, the high level of knowledge of the caregiver was presented in 80.8% (95% CI, p <0.00), the degree of education university superior of caregivers in 97.9% (95% CI, p <0.00), non-employed employment status in 60.3% (95% CI, p <0.01), and iron supplements were not interrupted due to infections in 65.4% (95% CI, p <0.00). Conclusions: The level of knowledge of the caregiver about anemia, the level of education of the caregiver, the caregiver's employment situation and the interruption of iron supplements due to infections are factors associated with the correction of anemia in children between 6 and 35 months of age. .
