To determine the education process’ effects to Improve professional’s knowledge level in health about children’s pain. MATERIAL AND METHOD: Through a quasi-experimental study at the Gustavo Lanatta Luján Support Hospital in Bagua - Peru, 42 (100%) health professionals were studied, where 35 (83.3%) were female and 7 (16.7%) of the male sex, being 19 (45.2%) nurses, 15 (35.7%) doctors and 8 (19%) obstetricians. 100% of professionals report that at some point in their professional life they treated children with pain and 33.3% of them do so frequently. RESULTS: It was obtained that the 42 health professionals who participated in the educational intervention had an improvement in the levels of knowledge about pain in children (p = 0.000). Similarly, it was observed that the improvement in the level of knowledge in the 3 professional health groups that participated in this educational intervention, the doctors (p = 0.01), had a significant improvement in the level of knowledge compared to the nurses (p = 0.163) and midwives (p = 0.316). CONCLUSIONS: The educational intervention significantly improves the level of knowledge about childhood pain in health professionals.
