The present research analyzed the relationship between addiction to social networks and aggressiveness in secondary school students of an educational institution in Trujillo. It is of a substantive type and descriptive-correlational design. A sample of 186 students who make up the last school year of secondary level was used. The following instruments were used: The Social Network Addiction Questionnaire (ARS) created by Escurra and Salas (2014) and the Aggression Questionnaire (AQ) carried out by Buss and Perry (1992). The findings showed that there is a moderate relationship between obsession with social networks and the dimensions of physical aggression (rho=0.573), verbal aggression (rho=0.487) and anger (rho=0.541); while a low relationship with the hostility dimension (rho=0.110). In turn, a moderate correlation was found between the lack of personal control in the use of social networks and the dimensions of physical aggression (rho=0.486), verbal (r=0.448) and anger (rho=0.47); while, a low correlation with the hostility dimension (rho=0.152). Similarly, it was evidenced that there is a moderate relationship between the excessive use of social networks factor of social network addiction and the dimensions of physical aggression (rho=0.472), verbal aggression (r=0.421) and anger (rho= 0.406); and that there is a low relationship regarding the hostility dimension (rho=0.114). Therefore, it is concluded that there is a moderately significant relationship (p<.05) between addiction to social networks and aggressiveness in secondary school students of an educational institution in Trujillo
