To establish if attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is a factor associated with unintentional injuries in students from the first to the sixth grade of the Tte. Miguel Cortez-Sullana. Material and methods: An observational, analytical, cross-sectional study was carried out, the CEAL-ADHD questionnaire and a questionnaire on unintentional injuries and sociodemographic data were applied to the total number of students at the primary level of the Tte. Miguel Cortez in May 2022, under the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 225 students were selected, of which 119 are male and 106 female. Results: The prevalence of ADHD in our study reached 17.8% and unintentional injuries 37.8%. In the bivariate analysis, a statistically significant association was observed (p<0.05) between ADHD and unintentional injuries [PR (95% CI): 1.82 (1.31 - 2.52)]. The variables age, sex, main caregiver and level of education of the main caregiver had no statistical association with unintentional injuries. The combined subtype of ADHD was the most frequent (6.7%). Fractures/dislocations followed by falls, foreign body accidents, blunt/sharp wounds were the most frequent types of unintentional injuries. Conclusions: Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is a factor associated with unintentional injuries in primary school students.
