The purpose of this research work is to verify whether in the period of time that includes the study, the criminal policy of the State has contributed to reducing crimes against the public administration committed by public officials in the judicial district of La Libertad in 2016 and 2017. To keep the line of investigation coherent, a broad theoretical framework has been developed that includes criminal policy, its historical review; definitions, principles of criminal policy that its relationship with social control, characteristics, dimensions, models and influences in the criminal law system, ending this part with its study in Comparative Law. This framework is completed with light references on criminology, prison policy, corruption, ethics, morality, crimes against the public administration committed by civil servants and public servants and the institutionalization of criminal policy in Peru. The information collected in the surveys applied to magistrates, lawyers, administrators or users of the public service reflects the influence of political, social and institutional factors that favor the commission of the crimes under study, without forgetting to mention some aspects that limit such criminal recurrence. Finally, the statistical data, duly tabulated, provided by the Superior Court of Justice clearly reflect that the criminal policy of the State of Peru is not effective in reducing the crimes in reference in the jurisdictional scope of the Judicial District of La Libertad, since that the statistical tables show a growth rate in the number of cases that enter and sentenced the anti-corruption courts
