This study seeks to determine whether there is a relationship between the mentoring tool and the performance of employees and of the organization in the case of the company Repsol Exploración del Perú. Therefore, a correlational design was followed and two surveys were applied to a non-probabilistic sample of 38 people, one of them to 21 employees, who are mentees; and the other, to 17 heads of area with mentees in charge. The measurement instrument for this case was designed taking into account the criteria mentioned by Hernández (2014) in his book Research Methodology, which are: clarity, objectivity, timeliness, sufficiency, intentionality, consistency, coherence, methodology and relevance. The criterion of reliability with which the internal consistency of the questionnaire was validated was also calculated Cronbach's alpha coefficient. That way, once the information was collected, it was analyzed through the IBM SPSS Stadistics program. The results obtained show us that there is a direct relationship between mentoring tool and performance of the partner, as well as mentoring tool and the organizational performance in the company Repsol Exploración del Perú. Despite this initial result, could also be obtained that the current relationship between these two variables is weak, so it will provide some recommendations that the company may take into account to counteract this outcome at next assessment.
