This pre-feasibility study aims to demonstrate the technical, economic and social feasibility of producing hydrolysed collagen powder from trout skin with vitamin C. Firstly, a market study was carried out through surveys of the potential target audience and, in addition, three experts in the field of fisheries and collagen market were interviewed. It was determined that the project's target market would be people aged 25 and over, of socioeconomic level A and B, living in zones 6, 7 and 8 of Metropolitan Lima. The sales channel selected was direct sales, and the price offered to the consumer is S/ 140 the first year and S/ 150 in de consecutive years. Secondly, following a location assessment, it was determined that the plant will be located in the city of Juliaca, province of San Román in the department of Puno. Thirdly, the production method by means of enzymatic hydrolysis was selected because of its advantages. Regarding the type of production, it is characterised by being in batches due to the properties of the machinery. Also, the size of the plant was determined, resulting in 12305 kg per year. In fourth place, the project was evaluated economically and financially, resulting in a favourable outcome for all the indicators carried out. An economic and financial NPV of S/ 262 222 and S/ 836 936 was obtained, respectively. Likewise, the economic IRR is 27,59% and the financial IRR is 41,11%. Concerning the economic and financial recovery, in both cases, the project recovers its investment within the 5-year horizon. Finally, the project was evaluated socially, which resulted in a favourable outcome for society. The current added value obtained was S/. 9 482 183.
