This research contributes to the educational field by providing information on teachers' competencies in two regions of Peru for the care of students with disabilities in inclusive educational institutions. The methodology developed in the research was under a quantitative and descriptive approach since it delineates specific characteristics discovered in the research. It presents a comparative design since it wishes to compare the teaching competencies of two populations. The research presents two variables “teaching competencies and students with disabilities“. The technique used in the research was the survey which allowed finding including schools with teachers who serve students with disabilities. The sample consisted of 100 teachers from both regions. The instrument that gave way to the development of the research for data collection was the questionnaire which provided the current and desired level of teaching competencies. The results determined that both regions concerning the desired level of inclusive competencies require more information and training for the care of their students. Still, the Arequipa region states that it would like to receive more information to provide quality education and equity for its students in their inclusive classrooms.
