The research aimed to determine the development of public investment influences management. The methodology was descriptive and nonexperimental design. The population was made up of managers, professionals and workers of the institution, the sample was made up of 85 individuals, a survey was applied as a data collection instrument. The results showed that there is an influence of the application of public investment in institutional development and management, therefore; 30% stated that sometimes it has a higher incidence; 28% stated that sometimes, as a consequence of the low budget assigned to the institution, with respect to the investment projects indicator; 59% stated that projects are always formulated taking into account the fulfillment of institutional goals; 61% stated that projects are always formulated in response to the use of current regulations; 39% stated that they always comply with applying diagnoses as a basis for the development of projects. Regarding the development of institutional competencies indicator, 58% stated that sometimes public investment is taken into account in response to the global demands of the region; 67% stated that sometimes the entity prioritizes and executes scheduled investments. Regarding the management indicator; 41% stated that sometimes the entity, when making investments, contributes to closing gaps; 33% stated that programmed and executed projects almost never generate an impact.
