The objective of this research work was to demonstrate that the project method significantly influences the learning of Basic Electronics in students in the second grade of secondary education in the area of Education for Work of the Pedro Abel Labarthe Durand Educational Institution, Chiclayo, 2023, with respect to the traditional methodology. A quantitative research approach of an applied nature was used and a quasi-experimental design was chosen. The sample consisted of 30 students, divided into two groups: a control group with 15 students and an experimental group with another 15. An objective test was used as a data collection technique and a test (pre-test and post-test) as the main instrument. A validity of 90.5% was determined through expert evaluation and a high reliability, with a Kuder-Richardson KR20 coefficient of 0.81. The results obtained in the post-test revealed a difference in the range of average scores of 12.14 in favor of the experimental group, indicating that the grade figures were significantly higher in all fields related to the learning of Basic Electronics. The Mann-Whitney U test carried out on the control and experimental groups in the post-test showed a statistical significance of less than 0.05 (0.001 < 0.05), which implies substantial variations in their averages. Therefore, the null hypothesis is discarded and the alternative hypothesis is admitted. In summary, there is statistical evidence that supports the claim that the implementation of the project method has a significant influence on the learning of students of Basic Electronics in the second year of secondary school in the area of Education for Work at the Pedro Abel Labarthe Durand Educational Institution.
