The objective of this research work was to establish thinking styles, self-efficacy and their relationship with university dropout. The population consisted of 50 participants. A questionnaire was applied for each variable, quantitative approach, the type of applied research, the research design is descriptive correlational, comparative method, data collection will be carried out applying Herrmann's Brain Dominance profile, the conclusions drawn after The statistical analysis is presented visually through graphs, thus facilitating the understanding and evaluation of the data. Additionally, specific tables addressing analysis of variance are included to provide a detailed view of the observed variations. Preliminary work was carried out with 20 randomly selected students to determine the internal reliability of the first research instrument. The Kuder Richardson 20 statistical test was applied, suitable for instruments with dichotomous responses. The result obtained was a value of 0.95, which indicates excellent reliability of the questionnaire and, therefore, its applicability. The second questionnaire was evaluated using Cronbach's alpha statistical method using SPSS 27 software. A coefficient of 0.853 was obtained, demonstrating excellent reliability of the instrument. Regarding the third questionnaire, a coefficient of 0.913 was obtained, confirming its exceptional reliability. By obtaining this value during the application of the questionnaire, we can affirm that the instrument is reliable and, therefore, applicable.
