The objective of this research work is current planning is to better understand the future environment and the magnitude of the changes necessary to make decisions and move towards the long term in a more decisive way. This is the fundamental reason why foresight is gaining space as a strategic management tool. Organizations in general are considering, in the construction of their medium and long-term roadmap, the prospective methodology as a way of anticipating changes and improving their competitive position. This research has allowed the development of a methodology to determine the scenarios related to scientific-technological change that could improve the future positioning of higher-level educational organizations, in this case the FIC UNI Graduate, which has been taken as a subject of study. A four-step methodology has been defined to carry out the strategic foresight process, which considers the analysis of future changes in the studied system, the definition of critical factors in the academic value chain, the design of scenarios and the construction of a future schedule. A diagnosis with a prospective approach has been developed that has made it possible to determine the critical educational factors of future change, internal and external in the FIC UNI Postgraduate, among these, the quality of the applicant and student of the FIC Postgraduate, internationalization, curricular design, teaching-learning process, research, thesis, administrative services, ICTs, infrastructure, publications and UNI image. Once the scenarios for the UNI FIC have been defined, they have been drafted to have a better understanding of the future prospective process and above all to have more elements for choosing an objective scenario. Trend, optimal, disruptive and crisis scenarios are presented, to end this part of the work with the objective or bet scenario. The alternative scenario that can generate profound organizational changes in the educational organization has been defined and demonstrated, in this case the optimal scenario of the FIC UNI Graduate. The actors consulted bet on a scenario where the FIC UNI postgraduate program offers new master's degrees in science and professionalism; the doctorate in civil engineering has managed to position itself as a research doctorate and offers a mention related to the management of infrastructure megaprojects; curricular plans are up to date; the research is of impact and responds to the needs of development and modernization of the construction sector and the degree of the graduate is permanent because added value and the development of constructive innovations are motivated. The percentage of courses with a prospective and competency-based approach is high, and the percentage of courses with a collaborative, networked approach and that promote self-learning is also high.
