The objective of this pre-experimental research work was to know the effect of using PSeInt as an educational tool in the development of logical thinking of students from the Instituto de Educación Superior Tecnológico Público (I.E.S.T.P.) Recuay in the Ancash region. A pre-experimental research design was implemented, specifically a single group pre and post test design. The sample consisted of students from the Computer Science and Information Technology specialty of the I.E.S.T.P. Recuay. The intervention consisted of the incorporation of learning sessions using the PSeInt software as a tool to teach programming and computational logic concepts. Pre- and post-intervention tests were administered to assess the development of students' logical thinking. In addition, a questionnaire was used to collect students' perceptions and opinions about the use of PSeInt as an educational tool. The results show a positive impact of using PSeInt on the development of students' logical thinking. A significant increase in performance was observed in the post-intervention tests compared to the pre-intervention tests. Additionally, students expressed a favorable reception towards the use of PSeInt, highlighting its usefulness in understanding programming concepts and improving their designer problem-solving skills.
