Demonstrate if furosemide in bolus had more efficacy tan furosemide in infusion in the treatment of patients with congestive heart failure in Sullana Piura Hospital. Material and methods: Analytical, observational, retrospective, cohorts study in 64 patients with congestive heart failure at selection criterion were divided in two groups depend the way of use furosemide: bolus or infusion. Results: The optimal frequency and mortality in the group diuresis with furosemide infusion were 19 and 84%, while patients who were administered intravenous bolus treatment were 13% and 97%. The average hospital stay and diuresis in 6 hours in the group with furosemide infusion were 10.7 days and 1242ml, while those who were given intravenous bolus treatment was 8.5 days; 1435 ml Conclusions: The use of furosemide in infusion has more efficacy than the use of furosemide in bolus in the treatment of patients with congestive heart failure.
