This study analyzes how a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) in the battery assembly sector increased its operational efficiency through the implementation of Lean Manufacturing. Over six months, from June to December 2021, the project progressed through phases that included improvements in work methods, the introduction of the Kanban system, the application of 5S, and monthly reviews to adjust processes. To assess the impact, key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, delivery times, efficiency, and material search times were utilized, demonstrating an increase in overall efficiency. In particular, the process cycle efficiency (PCE) improved from 6.13% to 10.15%, validating the effectiveness of the strategies. In addition to boosting productivity, these changes fostered a culture of continuous improvement within the company, providing a model for other SMEs looking to optimize their processes. The results highlight the potential of Lean Manufacturing as a valuable strategy for enhancing both efficiency and organization in small to medium-sized manufacturing environments.
