This research was conducted in a metalworking company located in Carapongo, with the goal of improving on-time delivery performance and reducing costs associated with delays. A pre-experimental design was used, conducting a diagnosis of the current processes through historical data analysis, customer surveys, and direct observation. The analysis identified the main causes of delays as poor plant layout, unexpected machine breakdowns, and disorganized tools, which impacted the On-time Delivery (OTD). The proposal included the implementation of Industrial Engineering tools such as TPM, with its pillars of planned and autonomous maintenance, 5S, and SLP, aimed at optimizing plant layout, reducing unplanned downtime, and improving workspace organization. The implementation of these tools significantly improved the company's performance. The application of 5S increased internal audit compliance from 28% to 80%, with support from management and the commitment of the workers. With TPM, the MTBF increased by 81.82%, reducing breakdowns and downtime from minor failures. Additionally, SLP was used to optimize production flow, reducing unnecessary travel by 55%. As a result, the OTD indicator improved from 64% to 87%, reducing unforeseen expenses and enabling the company to meet the required standards to become more competitive.
