The main objective of this research work is to demonstrate the influence of transformational leadership characteristics on the job satisfaction of nurses in level III-1 hospitals in Metropolitan Lima during the year 2023. A quantitative approach was followed, with a non-experimental transactional correlational design of cause and effect. The sample consisted of a total of 305 licensed female nurses and 31 male nurses from level III-1 hospitals located in the capital. To measure the variables, a survey was developed, taking into account the instruments, MLQ-5X for transformational leadership factors (Bass, 1985), to measure the characteristics of transformational leadership of the head nurses, and Job Satisfaction Survey (Spector, 1985), to measure nurses' job satisfaction. The results of this study revealed that there is a significant influence between the research variables (p=.000; rho= .414), meaning that the leader's characteristics significantly influence nurses' job satisfaction with an R2 = 0.126. Specifically, nurses' job satisfaction was significantly influenced by each of the dimensions of leadership characteristics (Intellectual Stimulation, Idealized Influence, Inspirational Motivation, and Individualized Consideration). Therefore, it was concluded that the presence of transformational leadership characteristics of nurse managers significantly influenced the job satisfaction of nurses in level III-1 hospitals in Metropolitan Lima during the year 2023.
