The present research aimed to explore the beliefs of teachers in a faculty of Education regarding Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in university training. Additionally, four specific objectives were proposed: the first one aimed to identify teachers' beliefs about sexuality; the second one, about gender; the third one, about sex education; and the last one, regarding the applicability of CSE in university education. The applied method was a phenomenological qualitative approach, and 10 teachers from a faculty of Education at a private university in the Lima metropolitan area were interviewed. Semi-structured interviews and incomplete sentences were used for data collection. The results were processed through thematic analysis, and based on this, the findings were organized into 8 categories. Among the most relevant beliefs, it was found that currently, there are feelings of fear and anguish in the teaching staff when addressing the issue, which are presented by the various opinions found against parents and educational institutions. In addition to this, it was found that there is a need to implement training tools in CSE in Education students, as well as the belief of a mainstreaming in the different university spaces. In this way, it is considered that including this teaching is a key point that impacts the personal and professional decision-making of the students. These results constitute an important source of information to begin to reflect and incorporate actions in Education students who are the agents that will impact future generations and therefore, in our society.
