In the last decade, the pharma consumer market has experienced accelerated growth, where healthy and personal care trends, including the COVID-19 pademic have allowed the development of new markets and new needs. This situation directly affects all those companies that produce, market or distribute pharma goods, in the urgency to improve their operations and ensure an optimal level of customer service. The following article presents a logistic model supported by the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) methodology, with the application of continuous improvement tools and Lean SCM, focused on improving supply in a pharma distributor. In order to develop the model in an environment it was necessary to adapt the methodology of the CMMI system in the Peruvian context and with tools with greater use in this sector. As part of the methodology, there is the development of a pilot test, with which it was possible to identify improvements of 30% and 40% in the indicators of Stock Out and Market Rejection, respectively: compared to the status prior to the deployment of the draft. Both indicators together, reflect the level of service that the company owns, which means that a reduction of them has an impact on ensuring a greater service. These results allow to conclude that CMMI can be applied successfully in the logistics sector and it is recommended for future research to develop adaptations of the model for other sectors of business still unexplored.
