Capsicum chinense "ají mochero" is a native Peruvian chili pepper, considered a flagship product of La Libertad gastronomy. This variety of chili manifests characteristics of high agronomic interest, such as: aromaticity, high degree of spiciness, uniformity of the fruits, attractive color of its fruits, low requirements for its cultivation and high resistance to pests. The objective of this research was to determine which floral buds of Capsicum chinense "aji mochero" show correlation with the growth phases of the uninucleated and binucleated microspore, with the intention of being able to be used in the future in a genetic improvement process. For this purpose, using the dye orcein acetic acid, the anther contents of 200 selected flower buds of ají mochero were stained, content which was released using the Squash technique for better analysis. As a result, the flower buds of Capsicum chinense "aji mochero" that show correlation with the uninucleate microspore phase can be found in the intervals of 3.744 to 3.976 millimeters in length and 2.644 to 2.828 millimeters in diameter. In the same way, Capsicum chinense "aji mochero" flower buds that show correlation with the binucleate microspore phase can be found in the ranges of 4.674 to 4.917 millimeters in length and 2.923 to 3.001 millimeters in diameter.
