This research work was carried out with the objective of: Determining the factors associated with the nutritional status of the elderly treated in the IPRESS 1-3 Belén de Villa Belén. The study is descriptive, nonexperimental, correlational, with a cross-section, sample 219 older adults, in the data collection instruments were applied, such as a food frequency survey, a questionnaire on socioeconomic status and a nutritional evaluation form. Obtaining results of eating habits of which 51.1% have unhealthy eating habits, 28.7% unhealthy eating habits, and 20.1% healthy eating habits; For the socioeconomic level, the highest percentage of those evaluated presented a low socioeconomic level 72.6%, 24.6% presented a medium level, and 2.8% had a high level and in nutritional status 48.8% have thinness, normal nutritional status, 22.3%, 19.1% overweight, and 9.8% obese. Inferential analysis was also performed using Pearson's coefficient parametric statistical test, saying that there is a statistically significant difference between eating habits and nutritional status, at a 95% confidence level, a P value of 0.000, and with a coefficient Pearson's correlation (0.848); likewise, there is no statistically significant difference between socioeconomic level and nutritional status, at a 95% confidence level, a P value of 0.424, and with a Pearson correlation coefficient (0.054).
