This research was conducted in a market-leading company specializing in the manufacturing and maintenance of heat exchangers, which, despite consistent growth over the past five years, has experienced a decline in revenue during the last two years in the maintenance service for Komatsu 930 mining truck heat exchangers. The main objective of this study was to identify the factors affecting service delivery times and propose improvements to the company's internal processes to reduce these times. The proposal was developed in three phases: first, a diagnosis of the current situation was made to identify bottlenecks and areas for operational improvement; next, engineering tools were selected, such as process analysis diagrams, time studies, and an approach to optimizing inventory management; finally, an evaluation of the implementation of the proposed improvements was carried out. The results showed that the implementation led to savings of S/. 28,700 from compliance with standardized times, S/. 66,160 from the reduction of rework, and S/. 42,821 from the prevention of stockouts. Additionally, the service delivery time was reduced by 9.68% (879 minutes), resulting in an 90% on-time service delivery rate, which positively contributed to the company’s economic development. In conclusion, the application of Lean Manufacturing tools and inventory management allowed for process optimization, improving delivery time efficiency and generating significant savings for the company.
