The objective of this professional proficiency work is to analyze the use of the TikTok platform as a means of communication between a youth audience and a public entity, such as the District Municipality of La Perla, with a clear focus on its official TikTok account. This study explores how the TikTok social network is utilized to connect with a young audience and disseminate truthful information regarding the municipal activities undertaken by the current administration, through pre-determined, short-duration audiovisual content. For this purpose, an analysis has been conducted on the narrative and audiovisual language, divided into categories such as inspection, citizen security, awareness, management progress, and the promotion of municipal events. Through an examination of four representative videos as a sample, the work evaluates the ways in which these elements foster interaction and retention among a young audience. Furthermore, it draws comparisons with communication strategies from other municipalities in Peru and internationally, proposing enhancements to further optimize the impact of audiovisual productions on the target audience.
