The objective of this research work was the study titled "Use of elocutionary techniques for the development of oral expression in secondary level teachers. Case study in a school in Ugel 06" had the general objective of describing the elocutionary techniques used by teachers for the development of oral expression in secondary level students in a public school in basic education. The research design was qualitative and a type of case study was chosen, focusing on the experience of Communication teachers. Two main data collection techniques were used: discourse analysis and semi-structured interviews. The data collected was grouped into three categories: Oral expression, Elocutionary techniques and an emerging category, Difficulties for development of orality. The results of the study revealed that there was less use of complex techniques for teaching oral expression, such as metaphors and figurative language. Furthermore, a lower implementation of kinesic elements, such as gestures and postures, was found in the development of oral expression. Difficulties associated with the development of orality were also identified, which include the lack of training and experience of teachers in the use of elocutionary techniques and the need for more effective and creative pedagogical strategies to promote oral expression in students.
