The objective of this research work was the thesis entitled: Motivational factors and academic performance of Mathematics in Primary Education at the Educational Institution No. 689 Elvira García y García in the province of Bellavista in the year 2022, aimed to determine the existing relationship between motivational factors and academic performance, through a quantitative, descriptive, transactional and correlational design study. The sample consisted of 65 students from the fourth, fifth and sixth grades of primary education at the Elvira García y García Educational Institution No. 689 in the 2022 academic year. A 24-question survey was applied to measure the Motivational Factors variable, which had three dimensions: extrinsic motivational factors, intrinsic motivational factors and motivational flow, to relate to the annual results of the mathematics area, and then subject it to the normality test and once the normality of the sample was verified, proceed to the hypothesis test using Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient. The Spearman Rho correlation coefficient was equal to 0.893, which led to the conclusion that there is a direct and very high relationship between motivational factors and academic performance. The motivational flow dimension was the one that showed the highest correlation coefficient with r = 0.884.
