The objective of this research work was to analyze the connection between online teaching and the learning of students in the VI cycle of the UNE Physical Education specialty in the 2020-II school year. The study was carried out using a quantitative and descriptive statistical method that seeks to establish correlations between the variables analyzed. During the study, previously validated questionnaires were distributed to collect information on the variables of interest among a group of 30 students. The results show conclusively that there is a clear important connection between the online teaching modality and the training progress of students who are studying the sixth cycle in the specialty of Physical Education. Therefore, after analyzing the evidence, it was established that there is a very strong and significant correlation of 0.733 present, demonstrating a significant connection between online education and students' academic progress. The extracted outcomes coincide with previous research carried out by Bournissen (2017), where it was observed that the execution of an educational approach based on the virtual modality resulted in significant improvements in the learning process. Furthermore, they are in line with the findings of Pedraza and Rojas (2017), who showed that soccer lessons in a virtual environment are effective. On the other hand, they support the statements of Aguilar (2014), whose study established that the effectiveness of learning is directly influenced by the correct use of virtual classrooms.
