The objective of this research work was to determine the relationship between learning styles and oral communication skills in English in students of an Educational Institution in Ayacucho. The approach was quantitative, descriptive and correlational. The sample consisted of 69 students from the Fourth Grade of Secondary School who were given a survey guide to determine the levels of active, reflective, theoretical and pragmatic learning; while, to measure the level of oral skills, a pedagogical test was used; in this way, the dimensions of oral comprehension of the English language and oral expression of the English language were analyzed. The results of the descriptive statistics reveal that the students have high levels of active, reflective, theoretical and pragmatic learning; while, in the dimension of oral comprehension, the majority is in the level in process; and in the dimension of oral expression, most of the students are in the beginning and in process levels. The results of inferential statistics show that active, theoretical and pragmatic learning are positively related to the development of English speaking skills; however, there is no evidence of a relationship with English speaking comprehension.
