The objective of this research work was the first cycle of teaching at the Enrique Guzmán y Valle National Pedagogical University, which houses 80 students. This is why the purpose of this study is to explore the benefits of a virtual learning environment for the academic motivation of these students. The study uses qualitative, interpretive, and phenomenological methods to collect data. When creating a virtual learning environment, it is necessary to create an accessible educational resource, provide adequate infrastructure, create effective communication, and incorporate virtual learning environment tools. These aspects directly affect the values, expectations and emotional state of the student in regards to their motivation to study. It is also important for teachers and students to agree that incorporating digital tools into a planned learning experience, as well as other parts of the virtual learning experience, can increase motivation among students. Students give more importance to individual work due to the difficulties involved in collaboration. They also need to use internal communication channels to maintain optimal motivation in the communication system. This led to EVA being more academically motivated than any other class.
