The precarious working conditions that workers face lead to labor alienation, which emerges as a crucial factor affecting engagement. Therefore, the objective of the research is to conduct a systematic review of labor alienation and engagement in workers. The search was performed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases for open-access articles published from 2018 to 2023, in both English and Spanish. Three studies were selected for the review, and all of them identified a statistically significant negative relationship between labor alienation and engagement. The main conclusion is that as labor alienation increases, a corresponding decrease in engagement is observed. Hence, there is a highlighted need for additional research addressing these variables contemporarily, providing crucial information for developing strategies aimed at mitigating labor alienation and fostering engagement among workers.
