This improvement proposal is aimed at finding the best solution to the problem of low efficiency in the maintenance service process in order to increase the overall efficiency of equipment in a company that provides maintenance service, since this problem impacts negatively in the management of maintenance, due to the delay in the attention of correctives and costs in the attention of the same. The project research mentioned the main concepts of total productive maintenance (TPM) analyzing the pillars of the development of the improvement implementation and the advantages for increasing productivity in the organization, taking as an example the cases of successes after implementation in various headings. Faced with this problem, the application of the TPM Methodology through the 5S is proposed, work standardization, purchase planning focused on product quality, preventive planning and specialized training, in order to improve the maintenance service process and increase profitability. The result of the validation was positive for the company, it was possible to increase the OEE from 38.87% to 76.05%, reducing the time of the general maintenance management process from 776.44 minutes to 557.26 minutes, in addition to a reduction in losses of S / 370,784.81 to S / 123,015.71.
