The objective of this research is to implement a WorkForce Management system to reduce the error rate of work shift planning in the cashier area of a supermarket company. The investigation begins with the diagnosis of productivity results in the process of preparing work shifts in the cashier area of a store representative of the supermarket. For this, the necessary information was compiled and structured to present the indices of giftedness, subdivision, planning error, coverage and overtime. Subsequently, the results were evaluated and analyzed with the Pareto tool. It was possible to demonstrate that the greatest economic impact was presented in the indicator: Planning error, value that reached 22% of inefficient person-hours. Causes were raised using the Ishikawa diagram, the same ones that were crossed in a relationship matrix to determine the priority cause: No specialized software to optimize the generation of shifts according to an estimated demand for each hour of the day. In the second stage of the research, the software to be implemented is presented and described, its sources of information, the users and operational responsibilities as well as the general configurations of the system. A schedule of activities for the implementation was presented, which lasted approximately 6 months in the phases of planning, implementation, training and pilot plan in the store where the diagnosis was initially made. In the last stage the initial configuration of the system and the start-up of the pilot at the Miraflores store are detailed, the same branch that served for the diagnosis. The management indicators were exported from the application and prepared for the analysis, comparison and presentation of results. The results obtained from the research show an improvement in all the indicators analyzed. The planning error rate decreased from 22% to 6.3%, which represents a saving of 13 person-hours daily. The hours were valued monthly, the service costs were deducted, obtaining an economic benefit of S /. 1 941,26 per month for a local, if we estimate it to 60 stores in the chain, the savings would amount to S /. 116 475,60.
