This thesis consists in the implementation of a sludge dehydrating equipment in the domestic water treatment plant of Cia Minera Coimolache S.A. whose objective is the reduction of costs in transportation and final disposal of sludge, a current diagnosis was made of the sludge management process, there are currently four wastewater treatment plants which generate sludge on average 6 m3 a day, 180 m3 at month and 2,160 m3 per year that are transported for final disposal to Talara, the cost per m3 is 456 nuevos soles and per year amounts to 930,240.00 nuevos soles. Due to the high transportation and final disposal costs, a sludge dehydrator equipment was sought for its implementation, which reduces the volume of sludge containing between 95% and 98% water, the equipment being implemented has a total cost of 261,000.00 nuevos soles designed by Agua Clear SA The economic and financial study of the implementation of a sludge dehydrating equipment determined that an estimated cost benefit reduction of 801,203.00 nuevos soles would be generated to the company, with a TIR of 295%, NAV net of 2,662,467.00 nuevos soles and a return of investment of 4 months, this means a reduction of costs by 80%, in conclusion, by installing the sludge dehydrator equipment reduces the volume of dodo by 97.16%, which means that a month is generated only 6.9 m3 and 83 m3 of dehydrated sludge per year, thus significantly reducing costs to 37,756 nuevos soles per year.
