This present work called “Evaluation of the Functional Status of the Flexible Pavement of Av. Pedro Muñiz of the Trujillo District Applying the Pavement Condition Index (Pci) Methodology” had as main objective to evaluate the conservation status of the flexible pavement of the Pedro Muñiz Avenue, of the city of Trujillo through its application condition index applying the PCI methodology in order to publicize its conservation of the existing pavement. The Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method is based on an application analysis to obtain an index of structural integrity of the pavement and of the functional condition of the surface, thus performing procedures to quantify values and determine their condition index. Including their respective treatment and maintenance. For this investigation the procedure is adopted according to the PCI Manual applying specific criteria to the branch of transport. Thus, we identify the study and evaluation section by unit of sample the type of faults affected, being a neat field work using instruments such as level, cone and wincha. Next, the data process is specified by the recognized records and the area of each type of fault specified in each sampling unit that includes the severity level is found. Finally, it was determined that Pedro Muñiz Avenue has a PCI range of 29, which indicates that its conservation status is “Bad” as evaluated.
