Title: Microfiltración apical in vitro en conductos obturados con dos cementos selladores

Abstract: El presente estudio es de tipo experimental cuyo objetivo fue determinar la microfiltración apical in vitro de conductos obturados empleando cementos selladores a base de hidróxido de calcio (Apexit) y a base de resina epóxica con hidróxido de calcio (Sealer 26). Se recolectaron 40 premolares monorradiculares recientemente extraídas para el estudio a las cuales se les realizó tratamiento de conducto y se obturaron con dos cementos endodónticos diferentes, dividiendóse en 4 grupos: Grupo A conformado por 16 premolares monorradiculares con el cemento endodóntico a base de hidróxido de calcio (Apexit), grupo B conformado por 16 premolares monorradiculares a base de resina epóxica con hidróxido de calcio (Sealer 26); grupo C control positivo conformado por 4 premolares que fueron piezas instrumentadas sin obturar y permeables los 2 mm más apicales y por último el grupo D control negativo conformado por 4 premolares a los cuales se les instrumentó e impermeabilizó con barníz de uñas en su totalidad. Posteriormente todas las piezas fueron sumergidas en tinta china, luego fueron sometidas al proceso de diafanización según la técnica de Robertson. El cemento endodóntico a base de hidróxido de calcio (Apexit) presentó un promedio de 1.16mm y desv. est. de 0.4320 y el cemento endodóntico a base de resina epóxica con hidróxido de calcio (Sealer 26) presentó un promedio de 1.11mm y desv. est. de 0.4250. Concluyendo que no se encontró diferencia significativa en la microfiltración in vitro del sellado apical de conductos radiculares con el cemento a base de hidróxido de calcio (Apexit) y el cemento a base de resina epóxica con hidróxido de calcio (Sealer 26)

The present study is experimental type whose objective was to determine apical microleakage in vitro sealed duct using sealants cements made from calcium hydroxide (Apexit) and resin Epoxy with calcium hydroxide (Sealer 26). Were collected 40 single-rooted premolars recently extracted for this study which it performed root canal treatment and were sealed with two different endodontic cements, divided into 4 groups: Group A comprised of 16 single-rooted premolars with endodontic cement based on calcium hydroxide (Apexit), group B comprised of 16 monoradicular premolars based epoxy resin with calcium hydroxide (Sealer 26); C positive control group comprised of 4 parts premolars were instrumented unsealed and permeable 2 mm apical and finally the D negative control group of 4 premolars to which they were implemented and waterproofed with nail varnish in its entirety. Later, all the pieces were dipped in Chinese ink, then were subjected to the process of diaphanization according to the technique Robertson. The endodontic cement based on calcium hydroxide (Apexit) showed an average of 1.16 mm and standard deviation of 0.4320 and endodontic cement based on epoxy resin with calcium hydroxide (Sealer 26) showed an average of 1.11 mm and standard deviation of 0.4250. It concluded that significant difference was not found in the microfiltration in vitro apical seal of the root canal with cement based on calcium hydroxide (Apexit) and cement-based epoxy resin with calcium hydroxide microfiltration (Sealer 26)
