This research study tries to demonstrate how the workshop learning to live develops social skills in students the first year of high school in the Education Institution Victor Raul Haya de la Torre. El Porvenir - Trujillo, 2014. Inductivedeductive method was used, the design is pre-experimental population consisted of 43 students and the sample was 21 students from the first year of high school. All students were administered a pre-test and post-test consisting of 50 items. After application of the workshop learning to live, was significantly increased by 42.05 points, between the average level of general social skills pretest (135.38 points) vs the average level of general social skills postest (177.42 points) in freshmen "A" high school in the Education Institution Victor Raul Haya de la Torre. El Porvenir - Trujillo, 2014. Where it notes that such students, before the development of the workshop, 66.7% of students were in the starting level, 23.8% in the process level, 9.5% in the achieved level and no one in the featured level, but after and because of the development of the workshop, we have that only 4.8% were located in the starting level, 57.1% in the process level, 19% in the achieved level and 19% in the featured level.
