The aim of this work was to establish whether clinical epidemiological factors are associated with hospitalization in children under 18 years of age with Covid 19 in the province of Trujillo between the months of March and July 2020. The design applied was of cases and controls, being the study population 1,654 people who suffered from the study disease and were registered in the SISCOVID system of the Trujillo Health Network, including 67 hospitalized. Obesity was found to be present in 4.5% of hospitalized patients and 0.9% in non-hospitalized patients with a p = 0.004 and an ORa = 4.45 with a 95% CI of 1.17 -16.97. The proportion of epidemiological factors in hospitalized children under 18 years of age, they were: belonging to the child stage 55.2%, adolescent stage 44.8%, male sex 40.3%, female sex 59.7%, contact in a family environment 17.9%, contact in a health environment 1.5%, contact in an environment social 1.5% and unknown contact 79.1%. The proportion of clinical factors were: for obesity 4.5%, cardiovascular disease 3%, chronic lung disease 1.9%, chronic neurological disease 1.5%, one comorbidity 9.1%, two comorbidities 1.5%, while diabetes mellitus, kidney disease and cancer did not register hospitalization It was concluded that obesity represents a risk factor for hospitalization in those under 18 years of age with Covid 19 infection
