In the present investigation, the sustained deficit irrigation in the development of the sunflower (Helianthus annuus) and the determination of the water use efficiency in La Molina were evaluated. It was carried out based on four components of height, length, diameter of the capitulum and of the stem in each one of the phenological stages, in addition, the gain of dry biomass due to the effect of sustained deficit irrigation was evaluated, and in this way to determine the efficiency of the use of the water in sunflower cultivation, likewise determine the stomatal conductance in each phenological phase. The study was based on a randomized complete block design, where the blocks were the 7 phenological periods generated in time by the development of the sunflower crop, each block being a phenological period, for sampling purposes 5 modules were installed in the field, within each module 4 treatments (100% ETo-T1 T, 80% ETo - T2, 70% ETo - T3 and 60% ETo - T4) were randomly distributed for each experimental unit consisting of 90 sunflower plants. This is how it resulted, with the treatment of the irrigation sheet of 80% average height 100.15 cm, average stem diameter 1.28 cm and average chapter diameter 8.84 cm, similar results to the 100% treatment regarding the treatment of 60 %, lower values were obtained in height of 100% and 80%. Likewise, the dry biomass gain by default of the sustained deficit irrigation was identified with the treatments with the irrigation sheets of 80% and 100% more efficient with 372.83 and 366.91 g / l respectively …
