The objective of this study is to determine the market, technical, economic and social feasibility for the installation of a charapita chili sauce production plant that can satisfy the palates of the Lima public who like to consume good-tasting hot sauces. The target audience to which the product is directed are households in zones 6 (Jesús María, Lince, Pueblo Libre, Magdalena and San Miguel) and zone 7 (Miraflores, San Isidro, San Borja, Surco and La Molina) of Lima Metropolitan that belong to socioeconomic level A and B. The project's maximum annual demand was 91,273 250- mL containers. They will be distributed mainly through supermarkets. In addition, it was found that no raw material represents a limitation for the project. Later, with the help of the Ranking of Factors, it was possible to determine the best location for the installation of the charapita chili sauce production plant in the department of Lima in the district of Villa El Salvador. The optimal size of the plant was also calculated, which is determined by the size of the market with 91,273 containers per year. Within the project engineering framework, it was possible to determine the equipment that will be used for production and the manual operations to be included in the process. The layout of the plant was carried out with the Guerchet analysis and the dimensions of the different areas within the plant could be determined. For the production area, a total of 80 m² is being considered and a total of 471.5 m² for the plant. Finally, the financial evaluation was made and a total investment of S/ 576,276.99 was determined. In addition, an economic analysis was made, from which an NPV of S/ 313,936.73, an IRR of 33 % and a recovery period of 4.02 years were calculated. For the financial analysis, the following results were obtained: NPV of S/ 333,075.72, an IRR of 41 % and a recovery period of 3.53 years. Therefore, it was determined that the project is economically and financially viable.
