The use of a production system on construction sites such as the Last Planner System (LPS) is crucial for the competitiveness of construction companies. While research recognizes its increasing adoption in construction companies, it also recognizes that LPS is not applied in a holistic way and tends to be short-term, reducing the capacity it really has. The objective of this research is to propose a system of continuous improvement that facilitates the maturity of all the components of the LPS, and thus achieve its holistic application. To achieve the objective, a system based on the LPS maturity model proposed by the Lean Construction Institute (LPS - LCI) and the Toyota Kata (TK) approach described by Myke Rother was proposed based on a bibliographic review. The evaluation of the proposed system took place in a case study, during the structural stage of the “Municipal Coliseum of San Antonio de Putina” project. For the analysis of results, regarding the implementation of the LPS-LCI elements, the results obtained from the application of the proposed system were compared with case studies collected from the bibliography on the implementation of the LPS elements. The interpretation of the results shows the maturity in each of the elements of the LPS-LCI. Regarding the management and performance indicators, the results show improvements in planning and schedule, during the implementation of the LPS. Considering the level of maturity of the LPS - LCI reached in the research, the management indicators and the performance of the project, it is possible to conclude that the "Continuous improvement system to facilitate the maturity of the Last Planner System" allows a holistic implementation of the LPS, thus overcoming the problems identified in the research The research allowed the researcher to learn and know in depth the Last Planner System methodology, and the importance of applying all its components. It is recommended to investigate the application of the proposed system in other maturity models.
