In Peru, various public and private works are carried out, such as: schools, hospitals, shopping centers, housing, in populated areas and new urbanizations are being built in areas bordering the roads, which generate a better quality of life for its inhabitants, at the same time generate future negative effects on roads that are physically reflected in travel times, queues generated, mobility, accessibility and times of operation, in both populated and non-populated areas. It is thus that the present investigation seeks to describe as well as to quantify the negative impacts that an urban habilitation would have in the level of service and capacity of the highway, for this a study zone was chosen away from the urban zone, which is located in the province of Jayanca in the Lambayeque region to better measure the effects of a new infrastructure on the road. The first thing that was done was a field data collection in three consecutive days, in this way to see the vehicular behavior in the study area and to reflect what was seen in the field in a microscopic simulation. Then proceed to simulate, calibrate and finally validate the simulation parameters; This last step of validating the model must be done with data different from those obtained in the first three days of data collection to be certain that the simulation parameters are correct. Finally, three scenarios are simulated, the first is the simulation of the current situation without the presence of the urban rating, the next is the simulation with the presence of the urban rating and finally a simulation with a projection of 30 years is carried out to have the behavior of the road in time, taking as indicators in the three scenarios the service level of the road, the capacity of the road, the speed of travel, travel times and the use of the space-time diagram.
