Management Concerned about the safety and health of workers, establishes implementing a Management System for Occupational Safety and Health in Mining Mallay Unit, based on the OHSAS 18001: 2007 aligned to comply with Peruvian law in force in the mining sector with the DS N ° 055-2010 EM; it also has Law No. 29783 General Law on Safety and Health at Work and its regulations DS Nº 005- 2012 TR, in which the broad state obligations and responsibilities should comply with occupational safety and health to protect workers. Application of Management System Occupational Safety and Health in the Mining Mallay Unit, has been to provide a safe and healthy working environment to prevent accidents and occupational diseases, adapting criteria for the identification, evaluation, and elimination of different factors risk that workers arising from working conditions in the mining work face. Implemented management tools allowing preventive minimize losses associated with accidents and illnesses. The methodology used in the implementation was carried out by studying descriptive and documentary taking in the workplace. The results in 2014 compared to 2013, have improved safety rates resulting in a 4% reduction in incidence rates, 96% in indices of severity and 97% accident rate, with 6.225 days lost, which is due to an accident fatal in 2013. Incapacitating accidents substandard acts have decreased by 33% and 100% increased conditions.
