The research focused on exploring how social skills affect school coexistence among high school students of the Luis Vallejos Santoni Educational Institution 50002, located in the city of Cusco, the development period was the year 2023. This research was designed with a correlational descriptive level, quantitative approach and with a non-experimental cross- sectional design. The study included a population of 474 secondary school students, from which a randomly selected sample of 212 students was worked. For the research, surveys and questionnaires were used as tools to obtain data, which enabled the process of examining the relationship between gender, academic level, social skills, as well as the perception of school coexistence, relevant elements for the research. In the descriptive results, all dimensions were analysed, determining that gender, as well as academic level, maintained a significant relationship with social skills and school coexistence. From which we can obtain as a conclusion, that 50% of those surveyed indicate that both dimensions are used “often”; Likewise, the correlation found between gender, academic level and the majority "negative" perception demonstrate that school coexistence has a value for 68.9% of those surveyed, resulting in its deficiency. In terms of inferential relationship, we can obtain a significant connection between all the dimensions of social skills and school coexistence. From what we can mention, that social skills are significantly related to school coexistence with a P value of 0.012, < 0.05, maintaining a correlation of 0.711, which means that a positive and high relationship was obtained between the variables. study.
