The main objective of this work is to evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of adobe units added with rubber strips with respect to adobe units prepared in a traditional way in the district of San Sebastián. Indicate that control tests were carried out to determine the characteristics of the materials used for which the investigation was based on the following tests and tests: Bottle test. Granulometry test. Trials for Atterberg boundaries. Disc test. To determine the physical and mechanical characteristics, it was done with the help of the following tests: Absorption test. Suction test. Warping test. Swimburn Accelerated Erosion Test (SAET). Compressive strength test of units. Flexural strength test of units In addition to them, the evaluated elements had the following characteristics: 40 cm x 20 cm x 10 cm adobe units. 30 cm x 2 cm x 0.6 cm rubber strips The adobe units were manufactured with material located in the Expressway San Sebastián - district. Adobe units are made from the same manufacturer. The comparison of the same, generated favorable results for adobe units added with rubber strips, since these units have better resistant mechanical properties and better performance compared to traditional adobe units.
