Peru is the second largest producer of organic coffee in the world. It is a product cultivated by peasant farmers, the vast majority of whom live in poverty. In this work, with the purpose of addressing this relevant social problem, the needs of a community of farmers in Cajamarca who harvest coffee and live in conditions of poverty were identified. For this purpose, first, research was conducted on the environment of the situation, which allowed us to understand what the problem is and what is not. Subsequently, we defined to which user or users we will direct this solution. The aforementioned will serve as the basis for, first, initiating the design process; and then, covering the proposed solution, which is the development of a brand of organic coffee called Ikitu. It is proposed that the main input will be the purchase of this coffee harvested by the group of farmers in the Cajamarca region. This will be the result of the training and accompaniment process that will be provided to this community of farmers in order to produce a high-quality organic coffee. This in turn will generate that the process of obtaining this product will be efficient in its production as well as in its costs, in order to make available to the consumers a high-quality coffee and improve the quality of life of this community. In this sense, it is proposed that, at the beginning, the project will have an investment of S/ 280 464; and, with a five-year projection, have an economic NPV of S/ 1 441 938 and a social NPV of S/ 1 062 736. This work is economically viable and will generate a great social impact in the community of Cajamarca.
