The objective of this thesis is to evaluate the prevalence of self-medication with paracetamol in users of social networks - Facebook, Peru. The method under evaluation is basic, descriptive and non-experimental design, cross-sectional and prospective, probabilistic sampling; in a sample of 628 Facebook users, using the survey technique and the digital questionnaire as an instrument. According to the sociodemographic data, it was obtained that 57% of people between 18 and 22 years of age self-medicate, and 57% do so because they present signs and symptoms. Patterns of paracetamol use revealed that 89% of people use the drug in pharmaceutical tablets, with a concentration of 500 mg in 91%. In conclusion, there is a prevalence of self-medication with paracetamol among Peruvian users of social networks - Facebook - of 46% who have taken the drug sometimes without prescription, while 22% have never taken the drug paracetamol without prescription in the last month.
