The present research work aimed to solve a problem of supply management of the inventories of the company SERURINDUSTRIA S.A. The study began with the application of the Pareto model for convenience for the determination of the study sample to be born from a population of 45 products for which sales revenue was taken as a unit of analysis, obtaining 14 products. In the diagnostic phase it was observed that there were high costs of retention of inventories over stock and on the other hand high costs of scarcity in some products as a result of stock breakdown. Likewise, it was determined that the supply costs of the inventories of the study sample represented a value of S/4'206,244.86 and the excess costs due to scarcity reached S/ 30,383.40. All this meant that the economic profitability for inventory management reached an average value of 3.85%. On the other hand, it was found that all products had a high volatility of demand which made their coefficients of variation greater than 20% and therefore the periodic review model was used for the purposes of the research work. Subsequently, the inventory model was applied to the sample, obtaining an economic profitability for the 2021 period of 6.98%, which represented an increase of 2.88% compared to the 2020 period. It was also observed that after applying the proposed inventory model, all the products in the sample obtained a higher profitability than that obtained in the diagnostic phase.
