To demonstrate the predictors of severity in pregnant women hospitalized for Covid-19 at the Peru-Korea Friendship Hospital, Santa Rosa II-2, during the period April 2020-August 2021. Methods: A case-control study was performed. In this study, cases were defined as pregnant women with a diagnosis of severe COID-19, while controls were pregnant women with a diagnosis of mild to moderate COVID-19. One case was selected for every 4 controls. Statistical analysis was performed in the statistical program Stata v16, and odd ratios were calculated for the associated factors. Results: Predictors of COVID-19 severity were identified as age, origin, educational level, gestational age, complications during pregnancy, type of delivery and symptoms associated with COVID-19. One maternal death has been reported The factors that increased the risk of COVID-19 severity were age, which increased the risk by 76%, and having a gestational age in the second trimester range also increased the risk of COVID-19 severity. . Obesity and overweight were the pathological antecedents that increased admission to the ICU, and presenting any symptom of COVID-19 increased the risk by more than 20 times. As well as presenting premature birth and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy as the most frequent complication. Conclusions: It is concluded that the factors age during gestation, gestational age, presenting obesity or overweight as comorbidity, dyspnea as the most frequent symptom related to COVID19, premature birth and hypertensive disorders of pregnancy as complications related to pregnancy are associated with severity in pregnant women hospitalized for COVID-19 at the Peru-Korea Friendship Hospital, Santa Rosa II-2, during the period April 2020- August 2021.
