This thesis work aims to implement a Management System in Occupational Health and Safety in a pharmaceutical company, dedicated to the manufacture of ophthalmic and otic products in ocuvials with an approximate of 120 workers, which has an exponential growth due to the rapid expansion that achieved new national and international markets, where the products meet high quality standards. Clients visited the plant in order to inspect the processes, standards, facilities and that the staff complies with the profiles required for such activity, as well as working conditions in Occupational Health and Safety. The implementation lies in the Peruvian legislation, specifically in the Law 29783 of Occupational Health and Safety that requires in all organizations to provide an adequate and safe working environment for employees, protecting their integrity and health. Having as projection to establish the ISO 45001: 2018 structure that was not seen from far away, since in the middle of the year 2018 the ISO 9001: 2015 certification was achieved after an audit by BUREAU VERITAS. During the process there were restrictions on the methods for risk control, due to the item in which the company was located, being very strict in protecting the safety and sterility of the products, thus limiting engineering controls and use of common personal protection equipment. Prior to the SGSST the number of accidents in 2017 was 13, where it was evidenced that the most serious resulted in a worker 60 days off. After the implementation in 2018, there were 2 minor accidents that accounted for 15.38% compared to the previous year, becoming a favorable result by reducing the accident indicator by 84.61% and with them the occupational risks that had been invaded and cataloged as critical area to production. In 2018, with a total of 21 mapped risks, control of the 21 was obtained, which would mean 100% mitigation of risks by engineering controls and process procedures.Likewise, the Occupational Medical Exams (EMOs) were carried out by concluding the contract with an occupational clinic for the fulfillment of the entrance, newspaper and exit exams, in addition to the epidemiological surveillance within the plant. In this way we avoid dangerous occupational diseases that had no pronouncement until then. The initiative was solid, which would boost greater investment and continuity in the improvements that would offer a safe working environment to all employees.
