For several decades, the performance of industries was governed solely on the basic of their productivity as a company in terms of competitiveness within the sector. Nowadays, social responsibility is considered as another aspect rooted in the performance in a respectful way towards the environment. For this reason, this study presents a technical and theoretical analysis to carry out a proposal for improvement within the meat processing sector, which is considered a source of significant threat to the environment due to the activities carried out in the company, which generate a series of wastes that, when not treated, turn out to be highly harmful pollutants. In view of this, the existence of the problem of the low quality of discharged water became evident as one of the main challenges presented by this organization in the meat production industry, where work procedures turn out to be the main cause of inefficient performance in this area. Therefore, we propose a solution based on the development of process management using good cleaner production practices, with the purpose of correcting, improving and standardizing work processes to achieve a reduction in the presence of waste and pollutant waste in wastewater, which will lead to an improvement in the quality of discharged water by staying within the maximum permissible limits stipulated in the Peruvian regulatory framework by General Environmental Law No. 28611.
